Almost to family in West Virginia

My mom and I left around 6:30pm central time.  After driving really hard last night and today, we have made it to Virginia.  Thank goodness.  Tomorrow will be much more relaxed, and we can do more sight seeing.

Almost vacation time

As I sit here and write this, I have about 7 hours before I am done with work.  One child is at school and the other is down for a nap.  I still have normal work stuff to do with some added stuff to do including some things to prep for my vacation.  I pray that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I will try to update everyday to let you in on my travels.  Please pray for safety while we travel.

I leave tomorrow evening

I have gotten quite a bit accomplished so far this week.  Laundry is pretty much done (just today's clothes, my towels, and night clothes to wash), baked bread, cleaned out my car (still need to get the outside washed), cleaned out my suitcase, and now I just have to pack, clean my room, clean bathroom and the kitchen.  I am also prepping for tomorrow and going dancing for a while.  I just hope I can get most everything done so that I do not have a lot to do when I get back from my trip.

Almost vacation time

Where has this week gone?!?!  I have just two more nights and 2.5 days to get stuff together before I leave on my vacation.  I still have tons of things to do at work (care of the kids, laundry, dishes, homework ), and I have to clean my apartment, my laundry, my dishes, bake bread, pack for my trip plus my community group tonight and dancing tomorrow.  I also have to find all of my scrapbook stuff, grocery shop for the trip, and develop pictures before leaving.  I feel like I am about to scream and pull my hair out.  I am excited about going on my trip, but it does mess up my routine.  It clearly is making me anxious.  Being trapped in a car for 25 hours does not sound like fun. Thankfully I plan to read, listen to music, play on my ds, work on computer, etc when I am not driving.  Please continue to pray that everything gets accomplished before I leave, and that my Mom and I do not fight on the trip.

4.5 more days of work

Well today is Monday.  I have the rest of today, and then for more days of work before I head off on vacation.  I do have a few prayer requests.  My mom is not feeling well right now.  Please pray that she gets well quickly, and that I do not get sick at all from her.  I have just gotten better from my little infection last week.  Please pray that our trip goes well, and that I am more than prepared for the trip.

5 more days of work

This week has been good for the most part except I am now a little sick with allergies.  I have managed to stay, for the most part, fever free.  I have had to two fevers which have come down quickly with motrin.  I plan to sleep a whole bunch tonight.

I have 5 more days of work before my mom and I head out of town for Thanksgiving vacation.  I also will get see it see a friend of mine this sunday.  Keep praying for me as I deal with allergies and getting ready for this trip.

November: So much to do and places to be

Except for the cold weather, I love pretty much everything about November.  I know most people would think that it is because this is my birthday month, but that is not the main reason why I love it so much.  Thanksgiving is the biggest reason.  The idea of being with my two favorite "Fs" has me very excited.  Family and Food.  I can eat as much as I want and spend time with my family.  What could be better.  Another big reason why I love November so much is that it is National Adoption Month.  I have two cousins that became members of my family through adoption.  Another cool thing is that their birthdays are in October and December.  That makes me feel all that more special.

I have two more weeks before I head off on my adventure to West Virginia and Ohio.  The only thing I wish I did not have to do on my birthday is travel.  My mom and I differ on this.  I totally believe that no matter how old you get, your birthday is just as special as the day you were born.  She believes that it is just another day like any other day.  Please pray that there will be no fighting on my birthday.
