Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas was a good day to reflect on the reason for the season (the birth of Jesus, Our Savior), and the past.  I am so thankful to God for loving us so unconditionally that he was willing to give His only son so that we might have eternal life.  That is and always will be the best gift ever given.  Thank you Mary for being willing to become the mother of this most special child.  We would not be having this day if it were not for the birth of Jesus.  Thank you Jesus for coming in the most humble of ways to one day save us all.

I also thought about Christmas' past.  My maternal Grandpa loved being with his grandkids for Christmas.  He just enjoyed being there and interacting with us.  I had one of our Christmas tapes break; and by a special Christmas miracle, I was able to have it repaired, transfered to dvd, back to me before Christmas, and was able to give out copies of it to family members.   I got some nice gifts for Christmas too.  Clothes (from my list), cookies, money, candy, fruit, bake ware, blank dvds, a candle, gift cards, an angel, and hanging shelf organizer (also from my list).  I am so fortunate to be able to receive things for Christmas.  I always wish everyone gets at least one gift every year although I know that does not happen.  My heart aches for those who do not get any.  One day, I pray, that I will be able to adopt children who need a good home.  I want to love them up, so that they in turn will do the same for others.

Allergies really suck

Well the verdict is in, cedar is in the air.  Starting this last saturday evening, I am having issues with congestion and  having a hard time breathing through my nose particularly when I am trying to eat.  Please pray that I will make it through the cedar season without any major illnesses.  Ladybug has been ill with an ear infection.  If we can just weather the season with very many illnesses then that is awesome!!

Bossing my Heart

I had an amazing experience today.  I was able to meet the Patterson Family.  Their daughter, Chrissie, passed away back in May of this year.  Lorraine decided to have the 31 days of blog spots of while Chrissie was in hospital made into a book.  I was very lucky to go to their house, and meet them.  Ever since I found out that I would be getting an limited edition of the book signed by Lorraine herself, I felt that God was telling to get a piece of jewelry from the Jane Seymour Open Heart Design collection.  She loved the necklace that I brought her.  I am so glad that she loves it, and the kid jewelry I gave to her for Chrissie's grave and the girls she has at home.  Thank you Lorraine for being a special blessing to me.  The first picture is my favorite.

Friday

Church was awesome on wednesday.  I got to see the children's pastor's grandbaby!  He was so happy to see me, and he was telling me in jabber fashion about something.  I also got see him crawl.  He is nine months old today.  Yesterday was fun too.  Sights and Sounds was smaller this year, but still good.  Dancing is always fun.  It was nice to see people again.  Today is my birthday dinner and the football game.  I am really excited about it.  Tomorrow is babysitting.

Lots to do this week

I am so excited that it is Wednesday!  I have lots to do for the rest of the week.  I will be going to church tonight and seeing my church family that I have not seen in 2.5 weeks since I was on vacation.  It will be wonderful to be with them again.  Tomorrow, I have work, then eating with my mom, spend a little bit of time at Sights and Sounds, and then dance.  On Friday, I have work, my birthday dinner and a high school football play off game.  Saturday during the day is not planned yet, but I will be babysitting for a very sweet family in the evening.  I pray everything goes well.
