I can not believe that I will be graduating in a month by dates and by weeks it will be 4 weeks on friday. I am glad that I have gotten a couple things out of the way with. Just a few things left to do.
Cultural Diversity- critical analysis paper on religious diversity due November 26th and a final exam on December 11th.
Family Life Education- group project presentation due on November 19th and the paper to the project due November 28th.
Special Education- One final test on December 6th.
Internship- Redo of a weekly reflection and an online discussion due this Friday. Final Report due next Tuesday November 20th.
Please pray for me to get through the next couple of weeks, and that I pass all of my classes.
In other news, the baby kitten is almost 11 weeks old. He is doing great, and we all think that he is mean because he loves to play and bite.

5 weeks 2 days til graduation
I have been so busy with school that it is not even funny. I was done as of halloween with my internship hours which I am very sad about. I really enjoyed being there, and I definitely grew in how I react and what I do. I learned so much about how to run a shelter which gave me an idea of what my parents have gone through to maintain a household while raising kids.
I have several things that are left to do in my classes. In my internship class, I still have one or two online discussions and a final report. In my cultural diversity class, I have group project due on monday, a final exam, and a critical analysis paper. In my survey of exceptionality (special education course), I have two exams left. In the class I hate the most, Family Life Education, I have a test today and one group project.
There is so much due within the next two weeks that I hope that I do not get too stress out at what is going on around me. I got to go work on some of these. Wish me luck.

Almost done
I can not believe how busy I have been with being at school full time with internship and working three part time jobs. It is a wonder that I have time to have fun. Luckly I like my internship and one of my jobs allows to go places and do what I want to do (Three year olds are moble and can be placed in the car to go places).
School keeps me super busy. With three writing intensive courses, I have to stay on top of what I need to do or I fall behind to point of not getting good grades. I like most of my classes, but really drives me insane since I am not really learning anything and do not plan to be that type of educator in the family sciences. My grades are pretty good though I wish that I had more time to work on some of those grades. Oh well.
I am really excited about the last weekend of this month as one of my best friends comes to visit and stay the weekend. We will be going to our high school homecoming, going to a theme park, making home made graduation invitations, and going to church. I do not know what else we might do, but we sure have a lot to do already.
For those who are wondering, the kitten is doing really well. He is almost seven weeks old, and very cute. He loves to play, but gets really rough ( I have the bite and claw marks to prove it) in playing. He likes to eat, and he likes walking into my room at night.
Well I got to go. I need some r and r.

School and new baby kitten
I have been so busy with my school lately. As I am graduating this december, I have so much to do. So far, I have applied for graduation, worked at my internship, go to my classes, and go to club meetings. I am a member of 5 different clubs: NTSO (Non-Traditional Student Organization), American Sign Language Club, Student chapter of the Alumni Association, FCDA (Family and Child Development Association {my major is Family and Child Development}), and FCSA (Family and Consumer Science Association).
As far as my internship goes, it is right near my school and I am almost half through my hours (I have only been there a month). I am really loving being at my internship site, and I am learning so much.
On a family note, two weeks ago on this sunday, my mom found a two week old kitten. He is so adorable. He was supposed to be my brother's cat, but the cat peed on him. Now my mom and I care for him.
Well, I got to go take care of the kitten.

Home Sweet Home
I am so glad to be back home in Central Texas. It was a long drive, but I am happy to see my home again. We did not stop at any interesting place on the way home today, but that did not bother me at all. I was ready to be home. The first thing I did as soon as I got in the house was to scoop up my cat and hug him. I fed him, brought my stuff in from the car, and cleaned out the litter for the cats.
Then I ran out to get some of my Tex-Mex food that I had been missing, and visited with my maternal grandma. Now that the trip is over, I can start to take care of things for my last semester in college.

Trip Days 12 and 13
Sorry about not blogging last night. We were stuck in a hotel that had internet access, but you had to pay for an access card. Yesterday we left West Virginia for home in Central Texas. We stopped in Knoxville, TN. It was nice to stop fairly early in the day (around 7 pm eastern time).
Today we left early this morning (6 am Central time). We stopped to see Casey Jones Village and Musuem. It was nice to stop and walk around there. We have stopped for the night in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Tomorrow we will be home in Central Texas.

Trip Day 11
Well this will be my last blog from West Virginia. Tomorrow my family be heading back to Texas. It will take us about 30 hours to drive back home. I will miss my cousins and my aunt and uncle, but it is time to come home and go back to my normal routine. As well as getting ready for school.
Today we went to the national Antiem battle field. It was fun for the first hour and then it got old. We went on a two hour tour that was informative, but it was too hot to concentrate on what the guide was saying. I did get a collector's spoon when I got back to the visitor's center.
Then we went to this underground cave where we got a 30 minute tour which was cool, but really cold. Then I went out with just my cousins to the mall which was fun. I was able to talk with one of them without parents overhearing us so that was awesome.
Well I need to get off so that I can pack up, and spend a little bit of time with my cousins before I leave.

Trip Day 10
Today we went to Hershey, PA. It was totally awesome. I had never been before. We rode the trolley, watched a 3D show, and toured a factory. There was lots of candy that we could buy along with other souvenirs. On the tour, I sat with my cousins and aunt and uncle while the rest of my family was in the car in front of us. It was like the kiddie roller coasters except you did not go fast and there was no tipping of the car. Tomorrow I think I am going to the mall and maybe bowling.
I am very glad that we got to go to Hershey. Getting to learn about the history of the place was another great thing. A lot of the places there do smell like chocolate.

Trip Day 9
We traveled to West Virginia to visit with family. We have enjoyed talking about different events. It was a long drive from Pennslyvania. We stuffed ourselves into the car with all of ourselves with all of our stuff to drive six hours to my cousins' house.

Trip Day 8
Another day of relaxing. I finally got to sleep in past 9. We went out to eat and walked around the town we were in. We toured by car the town too. When we got back to our friends' house, we walked the property.
We got to see their granddaughter who is around 2. She is so cute and smart. It seemed to me that she liked the words toy and meow. It was a great day.

Trip Day 7
We said goodbye to relatives in Ohio, which allowed them to meet my brother's girlfriend. Then we came to Pennslyvania to visit with some friends of ours who used live in Texas.
I did get a little homesick for Texas, but felt much better after talking to one of my best friends (Thanks Sarah). The meal was great, and I enjoyed listening to the stories of a long time ago or just recently. Well there is a lot to do today so until tonight.

Trip Day 6
Today was one lazy day. We ate with my cousins before they left for their home. Then I relaxed at the pool in motel with my mom.
We took a family trail of where my dad grew up. My mom locked the keys in the car while we were there. That is the only set of keys for her car. We got it unlocked with the help of locksmith.

Trip Day 5
Today was a slower pace. When out to my paternal grandma's new house, and my dad, uncle, and one of my cousins put up a storage shed for her. Plus a table and two chairs. It was nice to spend the entire day with them.
While my parents went to wash our clothes I stayed with them, and we went to a concrete cornfield that is in Columbus/Dublin area of Ohio. 7 years ago, Eva and I had gone out there for the first time and had gotten pictures of us in it. Now we have updated photos of us, and pictures of her brother, Scott, in this cornfield.
We even got to see Lisi and her husband's new place. It was a really nice place for them. We met up with my parents there. After that, we got something to eat. I will get to see Eva and Scott for breakfast tomorrow before they leave to go back to West Virginia where they live. We will see them again in a couple of days.

Trip Day 4

What a long day! At least today I was able to sleep in until 9:15 eastern time this morning. The wedding was beautiful. I did mess up a little bit on my music, but everyone thought that it was lovely. I had a great time at the reception though. I ended up dancing with several little girls, and twirling them around. In the first picture is at the church with my cousins (Lisi is the bride and Eva is in the lavendar dress). In the second picture was trying to catch the bouqet (I didn't catch it).

Trip Day 3
Today I went my cousin to her appointment of a pedicure and manicure. I helped set things up, went up to the hotel to unpack the car, and get ready for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. My main thing that I did at the rehearsal was look pretty. The dinner was great and I got a present from my cousin since I am playing my flute at her wedding tomorrow. I got to go so I leave you all with pictures from today.

Trip Day 2
Sorry that I did not post last night. The motel that we stayed at did not have internet. It was a really long day of driving (about 14 hours of driving). I was just glad to get out of the car so that I could get some sleep. We got more rain when we were in TN, but no where else. We did make it safely to Columbus, Ohio. My mom even found a better place for us to stay the rest the time we are here. Until tonight.

Trip Day One
My parents and I had a late start in getting out of town. Although this did give me a chance to clean my room and finish my packing. We left our house around 12:30 this afternoon. Even the rain seemed to follow us almost all the way to Arkansas. We are at a motel just outside of Little Rock. We got here around 11 tonight. Tomorrow is going to be another long day of driving to get to Ohio. Which means in my family getting up early in the morning. So I will leave you readers until tomorrow night so that I can get some sleep.

Mark Schultz Concert
Today was a really busy day. I took care of the little girl I normally take care while shopping for the dress I would be wearing to my cousin's wedding this coming Saturday as well a few other things I needed for the car and the trip. I am little upset that I missed church service, but this shopping needed to get done.
Anyway, I made it to the Mark Schultz concert and I had a great time listening to the stories and songs. It made up for missing service this morning, and I was able to worship God. I also found out that Mark Schultz is adopted (adoption is very near and dear to my heart as I have gotten cousins through adoption), and seeing the music video based upon the letters that his grandmother (or great-grandmother I don't remember) had received from her boys while they were fighting for our country. She kept a diary of these letters. My father is an air force reservist.
Both these things made this concert memorable for me, but the highlight of it all was meeting Mark Schultz and getting his autograph on a book as well as getting pictures of the two of us together. I was fortunate to be standing next to people in the line who were very kind to me. We were only allowed to have one thing autographed and the family in front of me was able to use one of their kids to an insert to a cd for a friend of mine so that I could also get something autographed for myself. Also the couple behind me use their digital camera to get a picture of me with him while someone used my cell phone to get a picture of me with Mark. Also this couple will send me this picture soon when they have the time to do it.
Anyway, I thought I leave you with two pictures from the concert. The picture of him singing is when he was singing my absolute favorite song from him which was "Walking Her Home.
"
This was a perfect way to end the day. I will post the other picture once I get it.

3 Days until trip
Well, not much is going on. I have had a few days of relaxing. Today, I took care of a little girl and cleaned up the apartment that she and her mom live in. They are fixing to move to a new place, and her mom gave me more money for cleaning the apartment. After taking care of her tomorrow, I will have enough money to get my hair done. Other than that, I am going to church tomorrow morning with the little girl and there will be a potluck lunch at church. I love it when we have potluck lunches at church. I also will be going to a Mark Schultz concert tomorrow night which I am really excited about, because I really love at least two of his songs (Walking Her Home and Broken And Beautiful). I will be meeting up with friends for this concert which will be great. Monday I have to work, but when I get home, I have to clean my room so that I can find a library book (which is due the next day) and another item that I will need for the trip. Tuesday I will get my hair done, do some final shopping, and pack.

8 days until trip
Well not much has happened today. I worked, but I have to deal with flood waters as the town that I live in has been flooded. Although only in low water crossing areas is where we were flooded so the town is fine. Anyway I am just busy trying to get things done before I go on this trip in a couple of days.
I have to take care of some school stuff before I go, because when I get back I will not be able to get on campus with an expired permit on my car. Then I have to deal with house stuff, and other things like packing and practice my music for the wedding.

Fun days
My friend Liz and I had a great time together. Took her awhile to get to where I lived so that we could go to Fiesta Texas. We spent four hours there. We rode three rides, ate lunch, walked around the park, got into two photo booths, and watched a show. Then we had to go back to my house due to all the flooding that was going on where I lived. Instead of taking about an hour and a half to get to my house, it took us three hours. We still enjoyed going to Fiesta Texas.
When we got to my house, we watched some animal planet, made dinner, and watched "Freedom Writers". Which she did enjoy since it was her first time to watch it. Then we played on the internet, and had one of our girl talks about important issues in our life.
Then after finally managing to get out of bed, we got dressed and went to eat at a restaurant that our age loves to come eat at whenever they are in town from school or our visiting family members that still live here. Of course due to flooding we could not go the direct route into town, and had to use a back way to get there. After we ate, we went to see the river. Then we went back the way we came, and she had out whereas I came home to rest up before I took care of a little girl. We definitely enjoyed our time together.

12 Days Until Family Trip
Yikes! I just realized that I will be leaving in under two weeks. Well today I got to practice with a friend of mine who plays the piano for my part of my cousin's wedding. I feel better knowing that there is only a few spots that I need to work on, and make sure that I count my measures of rest so that I do not come in at the wrong time.

Anyway, before I get packed up for the trip, I have a friend (one of my best friends) coming with to an amusement park tomorrow and then she is spending the night. She is in the middle of the picture, and I am wearing the white with red and gold shirt. The other girl in the picture is another of my best friends. She has not spent the night at my house since we were both in high school. We both are very excited about our time together. Plus when we get back to my house we are going to watch "Freedom Writers" which is a great movie that everyone should watch especially those people who plan to be teachers. I am not going to be a certified teacher, but I feel that the movie made me a better person. I will tell you how everything went on saturday.

15 Days until Family Trip
It seems so hard to believe that in fifteen days I will be heading out of Central Texas to go up north for a cousin's wedding. I am excited but scared as I will be playing my flute in front of the church at her wedding. I am going to play Pachelbel's Cannon in D. Most of my part will be fairly easy to play as long as I pay attention to the piano, but there are a few lines where I am worried about doing alright on. Sixteenth notes are sometimes really hard to play depending on what the fingerings are, and how fast they are going. Anyway, for the next fifteen days I will be helping to clean the house, working both of my jobs, practicing the piece of music, and packing. As well as a multitude of other things for school this fall. I can not wait for this wedding to get here so that I do not have to worry about playing my instrument, I wish that I could still go to my church during that time. Oh well, I guess we all have to make sacrafices.

School and VBS 2007

I can not believe how fast things are going this summer. School is going well for the most part, and did my mid term tests today. I think I did all right though. Just working on the last few things that need to done for the next two and half weeks that I have left in summer session. Only four more classes to go and then I will graduate this fall from college. I am so excited and nervous about it. I have had a great talk with my pastor about what is going to happen next with the graduation this close at hand, and this has helped me so much.
I love helping out at VBS at my church every year. This is the same church that I went to for VBS every year with family friends when I was younger although I went to a different church at that time. My group was so cute during the entire week. I had the littlest group, pre kinder and kinder group. VBS was a total success.

Back to school
I can't believe how time flies. With all realitives gone, and me going back to school tomorrow; I do not know what to think. I am glad about my classes, because that means two more classes will be done and I will only have four more left to do this fall before I graduate from college. Anyway, other than staying busy with work and school; things are normal around my house.

So Much To Do
Well, school is over for the semester and has been since 9:30 am on May 7. I did well, and passed all my classes. I even raised my gpa a little bit. Things have gone well too. I found out that I was approved for my internship for this fall, and I got a raise from where I work. I got to spend time with friends, and do fun things. Now, my brother graduating from high school. Anyway, after this person leaves I will be going back to my last summer school session forever. Then this fall will be my last semester before I graduate from college this fall. I can not believe that I am going through my lasts for school. Hopefully I will get a job out of college.

Semester Is Over
I will be so glad when this final exam is done. In just a few hours I will be taking the last one, and then I will not be in school again until June for my last summer session before I graduate from college. My brother is graduating from high school in a few weeks, and our paternal grandmother is coming for the graduation. Things are on track so far, and I hope that I can stay that way.
