Prayers needed

Much has happened this month.  I have been in a car accident (and walked away with almost no injuries), bought a new car, and praying for some very special kids.  I have also had some major lows in my life.

Here are the pics of the new car.

First of all, thank you for all the prayers said for me after the accident (I praise God that I was able to walk away from it, and that no kids were in my car at the time), and buying a new car.  I love my new car as does everyone who has seen it.

I have been praying for a special little boy at my church.  He is almost 7 months old, and such a sweet baby.  He was removed from his parents' custody for reasons I can not reveal, and has been living with his grandmother and uncle since he was released from the hospital.  He has had several medical problems since birth like pneumonia and possibly asthma.  There will be a court date in November to see if he will go back to his parents or will he be adopted.  Please pray that God continues to bless this little guy, and that the judge will choose the best choice for this sweet little boy.

I continue to pray that Monkey and Lady Bug will continue to grow strong in their faith in God, and that they continue to grow and learn to be sweet people who help others in need.

There is also a very special little girl in Ukraine who is 3 years old.  Her name is Yulia, and has a shortened life span.  Here is part of a post from another blogger:

Yulia has an extremely rare condition called Cockayne Syndrome. I read that there are only about 60 known cases in the world. The syndrome is characterized by premature aging, cataracts, sensitivity to sunlight, hearing loss, impaired development, and so on. Her life expectancy is severely shortened. She can live anywhere from four to about twenty years. Sadly, there is no cure for Cockayne Syndrome. Yulia may (or may not) also have some cerebral palsy.

A wonderful mom who has dealt with a loss of child this year, put out a challenge to those who read her blog to help raise money so that when a family is found for Yulia, that they do not have to pay so much for the adoption.  They were able to raise $20, 098 for the adoption in just less than a week.  What a wonderful blessing!  Please pray that Yulia will have a forever family, and that she does not die without a family.  She did this as a way to remember her child who died, and whose birthday is coming up next month.  Here is the blog about this wonderful family: http://allarepreciousinhissight.blogspot.com/

Please keep me in prayers.  I have had some major lows emotionally.  This year has been a year of changes for me.  I am having to deal with the fact that I have not found the one I am meant to marry yet.  My strongest desire is to have a husband of my own, and a family.  I really want to be a stay at home mom, and be able to homeschool my children.  I am trying very hard not to let my emotions come into play at work, but it is really hard.  Also be in prayer for one of my friends.  She has some issues right now that I can not reveal.

Thank you for all the prayers!

Car news

I know have not written in a while since the accident.  I have been dealing with work and car stuff.  It has been decided that my car will be totaled, and I have to look for another car.  Not sure yet when everything will be decided.  Keep praying everything works out.

Crazy weekend

My weekend has been crazy, and not at all what expected it to be.  Saturday started out fine.  I got sleep in, and had breakfast at the leasing office of my apartment complex, then I was getting ready for my day.  My day was supposed to consist of depositing money, get some gas for the car, hair appointment, and doing a sitting job.  My day took a bad detour after the bank and gas for the car.  On my way to get my hair done, I was involved in a car accident.  I could not stop myself before hitting the car in front of me.  Thankfully, the person in that car was ok, and not much damage to her car.  Injury wise, I took the worst of it.  I got a small burn on my arm from my air bag deploying.  It is a miracle that my face and chest never hit the air bag.  I totally believe that God was protecting me when it happened.  The only other injury was bruising on the front of my shoulder from the seat belt keeping me in one spot.  My car, on the other hand, had a good amount of damage to the front end of it.  Hopefully it will be fixed, and I can have my car back.  I will not know anything until the adjuster sees it on Tuesday or Wednesday.  I will have my mom's car for now.  I was able to make my sitting job an hour later than scheduled since my mom brought me to it.

Sunday was a much better day.  I worked at ANC's nursery before heading over to my parents' house for the night.  Rest and relaxation is how I spent my time.  Today is also another rest day, but I plan to go back to my place soon.

Please pray that my car can be fixed, that the cost of the fixing will not be too expensive, and that I get it back soon.  I do not want another new car.  This is the first car in my name, and I have had it only 23 months.  I still have a loan on it to pay off.  The good news is that I am totally fine. My burn on my arm is gone, and I am just a little sore from my seat belt bruise.

Relaxng

I had a great 2.5 days with the kids.  It was so nice to be back with them even if they started to press my buttons again.  I did a lot of relaxing while they were gone; and while it drives me crazy to do too much of it, I went to the pool to relax and read a book.  I have really enjoyed being outside today since the weather has been really nice.

I am really excited about having some time with my mom.  We are going to a dinner and auction at one of my churches.  This dinner and auction helps bring money to help with the fall fest.  Then sunday is 5th sunday potluck for another church, and community service for the 3rd church I go to.

Please continue to pray that I find a second job to help pay bills, and that I find the man I am supposed to marry one day.

Back to work, Restore, Serving the community

I was so excited about being able to get back to work, that I got there 10 minutes early.  The kids were brought home an hour after I got there, and they were so happy to see me.  I was really happy to see them too!!  Both kids did very well at school today.  Monkey did not cry at all, and Lady Bug only cried during transitions between activities.  She is so proud of herself.  They both were in my lap any time I sat down.  I loved being able to cuddle with them again.  I do not like being with out them for too long.

After work, I went to my Restore group (a community group) for time to fellowship, bible study, and do a project.  Our project was to make 25 bags which had things like soap, socks, and razors.  Then we did our bible time.  Our new study is about the major characters of the bible (ie. Noah, Esther, etc) from beginning to end.

I am getting excited about this sunday.  ANC will be serving the community in various locations.  I will be at the homeless grill out.  I will be mingling, but also watching out for the children who do come so that they are safe from the chances of something like kiddnapping.  Please pray that all the service projects go well this sunday.

I better get ready for bed as I have a long day tomorrow, and need to get up early.  Work all day, and then going square dancing.

News!

First off, I want to wish one of my best friends a happy belated birthday.  I know I spoke with you on the phone, but  I desired to state here too.

The big news is that I got a call from my employer yesterday to talk about the new schedule, and the possibility of putting Lady Bug in a different school.  I found out yesterday afternoon that they switched her school, and I will now be working more hours which is great since I can spend more time with my Lady Bug.  I will only be losing 2.5 hours of work so I am thrilled.  Praise God!!!!!  Now I hope to find a small part time job so that I can save up money, but I can be a little more relaxed about it.

Day of Rest

Today was a wonderful day!  I was able to visit with family friends, and spend time alone with one of them.  I had not seen them in almost a month so it was very enjoyable to be with them.  The kids in that family start back to school tomorrow.  I pray everyone who is going back to school this week, have a wonderful school year!

I am very excited about going back to work on wednesday, and then this sunday is serving day.  I will have a potluck at my church, and then go to another church to serve the community.
